Modular Support Structure for a Data Centre Kiosk
A data centre kiosk required a purpose-designed galvanised modular steel support structure capable of supporting associated equipment while accommodating operational, installation and transportation loads.
The structure also needed to be suitable for off-site fabrication, efficient site assembly and long-term external service, with interfaces coordinated between the equipment supplier, fabricator and installation team.
CITA Engineering provided the structural engineering, design coordination and finite element analysis for the modular steel support structure.
The analysis assessed structural behaviour, load transfer, stress distribution and deformation through the principal members, equipment-support interfaces and connections, with the design incorporating structural steel grades including S275JR and S235JR and Grade 8.8 bolted connections where specified.
The assessment confirmed that the proposed structure could support the applied project loads without unacceptable global deformation or structural instability, while allowing local areas of higher stress to be reviewed and addressed through member and connection detailing.
CITA also supported fabrication, supply, installation coordination, engineering verification and as-built documentation.

The modular support structure was successfully engineered and delivered for the data centre kiosk.
The final design provided a verified load path, practical modular construction and the supporting technical documentation required for project completion.
